Likes and comments are how you measure the quality of that first impression. When someone likes or comments on your video, it’s more likely the algorithm will show them your future videos. Up until September 2020 when Shorts launched, YouTube was mainly for longer videos. But what makes Shorts different from TikToks and Reels? Regardless, the content you post on Shorts can also be the same content you post on TikTok and Instagram Reels. You can recycle content and it can do well on all the short-form content platforms. The type of short-form content that works for someone else may not work for you. Today’s content-drenched internet world favors short-form videos. Similar to TikTok, Shorts gives you access to a library of music you can legally use in your videos. This is good for musicians because it gets your content (which features your music) in front of total strangers. These days if an opportunity like that even existed, you'd be forced to sign all kinds of rights statements for characters and content created, but this was before Star Wars and he just seemed to be happy to have me around.

In 1975 Cruikshank made a comic strip based on her characters Anita and Quasi, which was published in the third issue of the underground comics magazine Arcade. The music, by the Berkeley, California band the Cheap Suit Serenaders, used slide flute, xylophone, ukulele, duck call, boat whistle and bagpipe to create what Cruikshank called the "strange, gallopy feeling" of 1920s/1930s dance-band music, of which she is a devotee. By the end of summer 1972, Cruikshank was head animator there. Elliot Offner sent slides of her colored-pencil and clay-relief-on-paper drawings to a screening committee that resulted in a scholarship to the two-month Yale Summer Art School. She also tried developing feature projects combining live action and animation, one a comedy set in a mental institution, the other, Joystick, "sort of a humorous horror story" about the effects of computer animation on an artist modeled on herself. That's sort of an area of research.
And the more someone sees you pop up on their feed and engages with your content, the more likely they are to go stream your music. Several other short films are on Cruikshank's YouTube channel. Posting a YouTube Short is super easy. People are scrolling through tons of videos on Shorts, and watching your Short is simply a first impression. On the YouTube app and on the site, there’s a “Shorts” tab where people can start watching and scrolling. Because, as one person says in this video, a Shorts view is not the same as a regular YouTube view. You see the same hand movements, the same 'blink' 'blink' 'blink' when a character asks a question. I started posting Shorts promoting my music at the end of September 2022, and can I just say… So why wouldn’t you be posting YouTube Shorts? But before I started posting Shorts, I was getting 20-60 views per video - now, some of my most recent Shorts have gotten between 1.1k and 2.4k views.
And as of April 2022, YouTube boasted 30 billion daily views. As of June 2022, YouTube said it has more than 1.5 billion monthly logged-in Shorts viewers. YouTube Shorts is YouTube’s short-form, vertical videos that are no longer than 60 seconds each. You don’t have to be an amateur filmmaker to succeed on YouTube. You have a system that is a menu, do you want A, B, or C? How much computational power does a speech recognition system require? How do you take into account accents and dialects when designing speech recognizers? What we do is we basically have a model that has three fundamental components to it that model different aspects of the speech signal. So that's the first piece of the model, the acoustic model, the model that all of the fundamental sounds are given their context. What exactly is an acoustic model? So that tells us something about what's happening at longer distance, even within these constraints of the assumptions about the statistics of what we're able to model with that kind of a model. The next part of the model is called the lexicon, the dictionary. This means, as a musician, you can distribute your music to YouTube through your digital distributor then easily add it to your Shorts.
